Filter size

 Hello,

I'm trying to figure out what is the filter size of Carl Zeiss 60mm f/3.5 T* CF lens. It is definitely larger than 62mm but less than 67mm. I can't get it measured properly myself.

Thank you.

It takes Bayonet 60 filters.

Bayonet 60 filters are named after the (approximate) size of the glass in the mount, not the mount itself.

They are the same size as 67 mm thread mount filters, but obviously have a bayonet mount, not a screw thread.

You can use an adapter and 67 mm filters.

Thank you for a reply. I am confused since English is not my mother language.

Here is a picture of this thing. Screw or bayonet? :) May it be different type of lens then?

That's a Series 63 thread mount.

It is similar to 67 mm screw mount, but not the same.

The lens takes Series 63/Series  filters, which do not have a thread, but are held in place by either a Series 63 screw mount lens hood or a Series 63 retaining ring.

What you have is indeed not (!) a CF lens, but an older C version.

I have the same lens,an older "C" 60/3.5.  I also have a set of  60 bayonet mount proxars and softars. Where can I get an adaper to mount them

on the 60mm/3.5 and on the Bay50 of my 150/4 Planar?
