 Hi all.

My name is Carlos Echenique and I am a professional photographer located in Miami, FL. I shoot mostly stagecraft (dance, plays, recitals, etc...), portraits, and cityscapes/landscapes. I am interested in the Hasselblad system but the H-System is too expensive right now. I am looking to acquire a lightly used 503CW and configure it ultimately for digital use. I find the V-System's flexibility very appealing. That and the Zeiss glass.

I shoot Nikon digital as it best meets my needs for stagecraft but would like to branch into Medium Format Digital for my landscape/cityscape work.

I am also an active technology blogger and run three websites: PlanetAMD64, PlanetX64, and Echenique Dot Com. Any and all equipment and my experiences will be documented there.

If you would like to see samples of my work, I have a flickr gallery and a Zenfolio gallery. Please feel free to drop by and leave a comment.

very impressive portfolio, carlos. congrats and keep up good work!

Impressive Portfolio! You're going to go places!  I like your idea of a Digital back on your 503. I have the CFV II on a 500 C/M, and it just flattens the competition. You got the point about Zeiss lenses just right, but thats just our secret/opinion!.

You get yourself a Hasselbad, 500C, C/M, 501, or 503, with a digital back, and you're really going to be nasty to your competition!

By the way, with a digital back on your Hasselblad, then a photographer of your obvious calibre isn't going to need the Nikon anny more!
