Introduce yourself

CFV-39

 Hi Hasselblad Forum Folks,

My name is Guenther J. Gehart, I live in Agoura Hills, CA and have been a Hasselblad user for the past 30 years or so. I retired three years ago and have started to scan a portion of my images (both 35mm slides and 60mm Hasselblad images, [negatives and chromes]) to use them in books I have started to print for our kids and grandkids. My plan is to scan about 10% of my images (about 30,000 of my 35mm and about 20,000 of my 60mm images). Thus far I have gone through roughly 10,000 of the 35mm images. Recently a started to scan some of my 60mm Hasselblad images and just like when I enlarged my own 60mm images in my (home) dark room I was amazed at the difference in"IMAGE QUALITY" on these 60mm scanned images. I am using a NIKON 8000EDS scanner and "SilverFast's" scan software.

Hi from film land.

I’ve been taking photos since 1974 using Nikon 35mm equipment. I have own all of the “F” sires pro cameras and lenses. Today I shoot my digital with a D200 and D700.
Back in 2001 a purchased my first Hasselblad a 503cxi with an 80mm lens and fell in love. I can shoot a variety of films scan them with my Super Coolscan dedicated film scanner and blow away any DSLR. I would like to purchase a digital back for my 503cxi someday when I can afford it.

My most recent project for the New Bedford Whaling Museum, “Portraits of a Working Waterfront”, was telling the story of the numerous people on the New Bedford Massachusetts waterfront. You may view it on flickr at (http://www.flickr.com/photos/nbwm/sets/72157614964981535)

New to form

G'day, Roger here from Australia...we like to call it Oz...for most it is like living in the Land of Oz after all...

Been a photographer for over 50 years, covered the American Protest marches during the Viet Nam era...worked for King Television, ran a studio, and freelanced for many years...did cover work for various rock groups, and now retired and trying to figure out how to get a CFV back for my V cameras...the lenses of which I have been using on a 20D Canon...I know...not cricket, but hey !

Got on to this site via an article in Victor magazine...

About it for now...I engrave, make knives, sculpture...and take pictures...on Flickr under the name of Raja Daja if you wish to take a look...http://www.flickr.com/photos/80497765@N00/

Cheers, Roger
