Howmany years can work the Exposure Meter ? Probably they use Sellenium.
Mine looks almost dead...

They keep working as long as the seal (they are sealed in glass) is not broken.
The leads leading into the glass however may corrode, and crack the glass. The tiniest crack will be enough to let the cell deteriorate and stop working after a while.

Mine is almost new but has been unused for + - 17 years.Stored inside the Camera Case in the Dark.
I put it for some time looking to the Sun,but no reaction at all.
