Digital back for 553 ELD

Dear All:
Wish a happy new year .
Just bought a Kodak DCS digital back for my 555ELD; but worried about the speed transfer of images, even from firewire to a notebook.
I work taking vertical aerial photographies, each one at 6 seconds to 26 time intervals; but read an article that said just two or five first images could be writen quicly, the other must wait the buffer process.
Anyone can help me ?????
